Eat well

Bien manger

It is obvious that modern food, although very excessive, does not provide enough vitamins, minerals and trace elements that the organism needs, which consequently does not protect us from many health problems.

Our organism needs for its proper functioning vitamins, minerals and trace elements that are mainly found in food but the conditions of modern life: denaturation, refining (ex: wheat flour loses 85% of its magnesium) , chemical additives etc. mean that no one eats properly (fruits are harvested before they ripen, plants are sprayed with insecticides, pesticides that poison those who eat them, etc.) .

To fulfill its role, the body needs all of these nutrients (insufficient or inadequate intake will put the organism in difficulty) to recover energy.

What to do? Improve the quality of nutritional intake by buying fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits if possible, from organic farming because harmful substances (GMOs, chemical and synthetic fertilizers, etc.) are excluded from this production of healthy foods.

So will you tell me why “eating well ” has become so difficult these days?

Modern life has meant that most families no longer have time to cook, to go to the little corner market to buy vegetables and fruits from small producers. Many of them will then prefer to go as quickly as possible by buying prepared meals mostly stuffed with sugars, salt (often exceeding all the daily intake standards that the body needs), toxic additives and others. We are in a society where quantity has become more important than quality. Are individuals in better health than before, we can clearly see that no, cancers, degenerative, cardiovascular, auto-immune diseases… are triggered earlier and earlier.

Currently, we must be seriously concerned about the quality of the food we consume. Eating local products from organic farming, feeding on fresh vegetables and fruits, favoring steam cooking in order to preserve the most nutrients, practicing lacto-fermentation of the seasonal vegetables that you like, you will be able to benefit throughout of the year of their nutritional qualities, eat seaweed, seafood, fish to benefit from vitamins, minerals, trace elements, incorporate daily into your salads or soups nutritional yeast (B complex vitamins), the germ of wheat (vitamin E) flax, sesame, pumpkin seeds, practice germination to take advantage of the benefits of living foods, take the time to prepare good meals for the whole family...

A healthy, varied and balanced diet is an important nutritional factor (*) for maintaining and/or improving good health.

(*) In naturopathy according to the Hygionomist Approach, the Natural Health Factors (food, air, water, physical activity, rest, sunshine, environment, entertainment, control of emotions, atoxicity etc.) are important and all contribute to the improvement of health.
